ABOUT: Aliso Canyon Chapter

Organized December 22, 1966

Chapter Number 159

Code #8-148-CA

Organizing Regent --Mrs. Eythe Curry Barnes organized this Chapter in 1966 with 23 Charter Members. The Membership rose to 130 by 1986. Our monthly meetings and programs are always interesting and thought-provoking. Our tea time and annual luncheons bring our members together and unite us in our love for God, home and Country.

We enjoy our joint meetings with the local "Sons of the American Revolution" group [The South Coast Patriots] and their outstanding Color Guard. We treasure the friendship of their president Curtis Porter together with all those wonderful patriotic "Sons of the American Revolution" members. We always look forward to our annual February shared meeting.

Laguna Woods is a magnificent place to retire. Just to give you a glimpse of some of the activities we enjoy, there are swimming pools, a golf course, tennis courts, horseback riding and lawn bowling. Laguna Wooods' Computer Club has over 2000 members. There is a Canine Club, a Camera Club, and even a photo lab. There are also lots of bridge games, travel groups, and theater groups here.

The DAR is top on the list for good fellowship and patriotism.

Below are some of the ladies in our chapter.
